CHALK WALK IS THURSDAY

Please send your child to school with attire that you do not mind getting dirty. Please no skirts or dresses for girls. THANK YOU to all our wonderful parent volunteers who have given their day to help with a wonderful school wide event! Please sign in with the office staff at the morning bell and if you have a canopy to lend for the day please bring so that you are not in the sun all day. We hope everyone comes by at the end of the day to take a look at our awesome artists. Hope to see you there!

Achieve 3000 Summer Challenge

This Week's Learning

Math: Students will write a fraction as a product of a unit fraction and a whole number, take Skills Check for Fractions, rename improper fractions as mixed numbers and complete quiz for Unit 8: Decomposing Fractions.

Language Arts: Students will determine the theme of the text by referring to details and examples in a text when drawing inferences. They will summarize the text and compare and contrast the point of view from which the story The 3 R's of the Grand Canyon is narrated.

Grammar/Writing: Handwriting/cursive writing and practice of 3 genres of writing (informative, narrative, opinion.)

Read Aloud: Esperanza Rising

Science: Build a boat which will hold a bowl of pennies without sinking.
