DAVID SPIRIT NIGHT AT CHICK-FIL-A
SPRING FEST SILENT AUCTION
Preparations for our spring fundraiser are underway and a big part of this event is our silent auction. If you own or work with a business that may be interested in supporting our fundraiser, or if your family has a vacation home, professional sports tickets, theater tickets or other useful items to donate, please contact Rebecca Krug or Wendy Brueckner at email@example.com or 713-818-5011.
New this year: The Spring Fest Fundraiser will use an online auction tool in place of our traditional paper silent auction. The flyer below contains more information and log-in instructions.
GOOD LUCK DI TEAMS!
Our 8 David DI teams will participate in the DI Regional Tournament Saturday, February 15th at the Oak Ridge High School and 9th Grade Campuses. Our teams will compete starting at 8 am and continuing until 3 pm, so please plan to come and catch our David teams in action! An awards ceremony is scheduled for 6 pm at Oak Ridge High School.
DAVID DI SHOWCASE
Come and see all of our DI Teams perform at the David DI Showcase on Thursday evening, February 20th at 5:30 pm in the gym. David staff, friends and families are welcome to join us for a fun evening of entertainment. If you are a student or parent interested in DI, this is a great way to check it out.
Photos are still needed to fill our yearbook. If you have any photos taken of activities here at the school, don't forget to download them to www.Replayit.com and find David Elementary. The school password is Splash2016. Please tag the photo with the name and grade of your child.
You can still purchase the David 2019-2020 yearbook at www.jostens.com. The price of the yearbook is $40 until February 28, 2020. Please note that this will be the last day for all orders.

DAVID’S DREAM RUN
David’s Dream Run will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Registration will open in March. This event is held to honor David Vetter’s dream to “run barefoot in the grass.” All proceeds from the one mile and 5K run/walk are donated to the David Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital, Woodlands Campus. The David Clinic administers treatment and conducts research for children with Immune Deficient Disorders/Diseases. To date, the increase in funding and support has saved the lives of many children both right here in our own community and across the globe.
David’s Dream Run is a great way for the entire family to get involved in service to our community. So, mark your calendars, dust off your running shoes, and plan to attend/support this very special event! If you would like more information or if you would like to help out with the event, please contact Yvonne Larochelle (254.432.9127) or Sonya Dias (832.729.1766) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
COLLINS INTERMEDIATE PTO POSITIONS FOR 2020 - 2021
ZONING INFORMATION OVERVIEW AND COMMUNITY PRESENTATION MEETINGS
Conroe ISD is in the process of reviewing attendance boundaries in The Woodlands and TW College Park feeder zones in order to relieve crowding at Ride Elementary. An Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC) has been in the process of developing zoning scenarios for the elementary schools for the primary objective of reducing the crowding at Ride. The committee is composed of parents and principals of elementary and intermediate schools serving the Woodlands and College Park feeder patterns along with CISD administrators. The District has obtained input from the parents and community on these various zoning scenarios and will now reconvene to review the input. Using this input, the committee will develop its recommendation. The committee will present its recommendation to parents and community members during a Community Presentation Meeting. Each meeting is offered three times for convenience. Much of the information to be presented at the Zoning Information Overview will be available on CISD’s website at https://conroeisd.net/. Please click on the button below for more information, dates and times of the meetings.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION - WINTER SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY, FEB. 14TH
The online system for Box Tops will now allow you to scan your receipt and give credit to your child's class. You must, however, list your child's teacher along with the grade level. Please do not list your child's name on the app, just the teacher and grade level.
Our winter Box Tops collection for the 2019-2020 year is underway. Participation is easy. Simply clip the Box Tops from participating products, place them in a Ziploc bag or envelope (labeled with your child’s teacher’s name and grade), and have your student drop them in the collection bin located near the front office. Please mark your calendar for our winter submission deadline, Friday, February 14, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Carly Jones or Jennifer Whitney at DavidPTOvendor@gmail.com. We will list the top two classes per grade level in the newsletter each week. Please note that the following numbers include both clipped Box Tops and on-line scans. Standings as of Friday, February 7th, are:
