⚠️IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL CHROMEBOOK USERS⚠️
Chromebook Management License Deactivation
As the College upgrades its IT infrastructure in 2023, the use of Chromebook Management Licenses will become redundant. Management Licenses are currently active on devices for Chromebook users from Year 10 to Year 13. These licenses will be deactivated at 2pm on Thursday the 23rd of February.
Chromebook users are hereby notified that deactivation will remotely reset devices on the College network/s to factory settings. This means any files not stored in the cloud, or on an external storage device, will be wiped from Chromebooks. It also means that if a user is absent on Thursday the 23rd of February, the device will reset remotely as soon as it is connected to the internet.
All Chromebook users should ensure any data stored directly on their devices is backed-up to an alternate storage location or removed before Thursday the 23rd of February.
Students are advised to see the technician if they require any advice about this process before next Thursday or email our Director of IT j.gillon@rosehillcollege.school.nz

New Staff Profile:
Here is one of the new teaching staff that has joined us at Rosehill College, here is a little about themself:
Miss Courtney Begbie - Art and Technology
I have started teaching at Rosehill College following my first year of teaching at Waimate High School where I was a sole charge art teacher for students in years 7 to 13.
Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in 2020 and then a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) also at the University of Auckland in 2021.
I am enjoying becoming part of the staff at Rosehill College and appreciate how kind, welcoming, supportive and encouraging the Art and Technology Department staff have been.
I am excited for what this year has to bring and I am looking forward to seeing our students be inspired, learn new skills, be creative and succeed. I hope to inspire and instill passion in our students.
New Student and Parent Evening
Welcome to Rosehill College. We hope that new students have started to feel like they belong and can contribute to our school.
Connections between the school and home help build positive outcomes for students, so we would like to invite all our new students and their whānau / parents to our New Student and Parent Evening on Tuesday 21st February at 6 pm in the school Hall. This is an opportunity to meet senior staff, your child's Head of House and the Year 9 tutors (if your new student is Year 9), who are the key people that you will be communicating with while you are part of the Rosehill College community. The evening starts in the School hall and students do not need to attend in school uniform.
We look forward to seeing you all at this evening.
Sporting Superstars!
Congratulations to sisters Dayle and Kiri Anderson on making the New Zealand Māori Secondary Schools cricket team! It is so great to see the hard work these girls put in pay off in a huge way!
Dayle represented Northern Districts in the national competition for both Under19 (Lincoln) and Under17 (Palmerston North) and Kiri was a non-travelling reserve for the Under19 competition.
Both of them represented Rosehill College in the Māori Secondary school girls team in January this year.
Rosehill College is cheering you both on!
