Conroe High School Tiger Tracks
May 2, 2021
Thank you Tiger Families for your support and encouragement throughout this entire year. We have made it to May! As we reflect back on where we started, we could not have done it without our wonderful community, parents, students, and staff understanding and following our safety protocols and expectations. Our students have learned so much this year and it's been a joy to see them achieve success!
We have our second week of STAAR End of Course Exams this week along with several AP tests. Please check the section below for information regarding your students testing schedule.
CHS Main Students:
Our 11th grade students will be taking the U.S. History EOC on Tuesday, May 4th! We also have AP Exams beginning on Monday! Please see the detailed schedule of tests below. If you have any questions please email Mr. Chandler. Our 10th Grade students will be on a Gold Day Schedule for Tuesday. 12 Grade students have been sent detailed instructions concerning this day. If you have any questions please send an email to: email@example.com.
Remember STAAR EOC Exams are a graduation requirement. You should have received notification if your child needs to retest. If you are unsure, please reach out to your child's counselor.
EOC Testing will be on Tuesday and Thursday of this week. We will have all students, including virtual students on campus. Expect longer traffic lines. We will have CISD officers helping us direct traffic.

We will shuttle students that have 7th period at the main campus.
We have several students that are not scheduled to take the Algebra exam. These students will report the gym on Tuesday morning. Our biology teachers have designed an fun, interactive biology review that these students will complete. Many of these students will then be shuttled to Main Campus following their lunch to take the Human Geography AP exam. These students will go home from the Main Campus. If you have not informed us as to how your Human Geography AP testing student will be going home on Tuesday, please complete the Google Form here: https://forms.gle/jRhwVfJwdz919r9p9

A few other updates and reminders:
Final Exams for Underclassmen - Final Exams are approaching. All students who miss their scheduled final exams will need to make it up in the summer beginning Tuesday, June 1st through June 18th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the front office. These exams WILL BE administered in-person. Please note your student will receive a "0" for a missed exam, after they take the exam, we will put in the grade earned on the exam in place of the "0".
Dress Code - Please remember that our dress code has not changed. Students are not allowed to wear hats or hoods on campus. As the weather warms up and we get further into the Spring Semester, this is a great time to remind students to be dress code each day on campus. Thank you for your cooperation and support in this area.
CHS9 Families: If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes. Our in-person numbers have continuously increased this year and we have more students arriving to campus by car. Our first class begins at 7:16 AM. Vehicles can utilize the inside lane (left lane) to help alleviate traffic. When our duty personnel see students getting out of the vehicle from the left lane, we will stop traffic in the right lane allowing your student to cross safely. Please remind your student to check traffic before getting out of the vehicle. Parents, please continue to drive slowly and safely in the student drop-off area. Wednesdays and Fridays have more traffic in the morning. We appreciate your attention to safety and patience every day. Also, do not cut through the parking lot as this causes additional traffic delays. Please note that on our next round of testing days, May 4th and May 6th, we will have more traffic than normal.
Attendance: In-person students, if you are not sick, we need you to be at school. If you are not able to attend due to being symptomatic, or being in quarantine, then you need to log into each days’ scheduled classes. If you are told to quarantine, then please let us know if you have connection issues at home and we will work with you to keep you connected to our learning platforms.
Vape Detectors - We have installed vape detection devices around our Main Campus. We have announced this to students on several occasions. I highly encourage you to speak to your children about the health and legal consequences associated with vaping.
Counselor News - Please be sure to view our Counselors Newsletter. There is a lot of great information that is updated here weekly!
We have two seniors heading to State for Track and Field this weekend! Thank you again for your support! If you have any questions or concern reach out to us! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
