Miss Tracey's Class

October 2013

October's Fall Fun!

October is filled with many activities for our class. First of all, as we will be learning about farms and fall this month, we will end our units with a fieldtrip to Smith Family Farm. It is always a lot of fun! We will pick pumpkins, go on a hayride, see some animals, and go through a corn maze. If you have not already turned in your permission slip and money, please be sure to send that this week.

Additionally, we will be hosting our "Donuts with Dad" night this month. You can find more information about it, later, in the newsletter. It is sure to be an evening of fall fun!

Finally, we will be closing out our first nine weeks with Parent Teacher Conferences, at the end of the month. This is a great opportunity to sit down and talk about how your child has transitioned into the classroom, to go over their progress, and to answer any questions you may have. A sign-up will be available for you, tomorrow.

Donuts With Dads

Thursday, October 17, from 6-7 pm, will be our "Donuts with Dads." On this evening, we invite dads to bring their child to the classroom for donuts, cider/juice, and some fall fun. Moms, you will have your own evening in the spring :) We hope you can make it! Please RSVP by Friday, October 11. We want to be sure to have enough for everyone!
