Kindness Counts

We will begin our next kindness challenges today and will continue with this theme through December. Our current theme is family. It is a perfect time of the year for our students to recognize, acknowledge, and care for their families.

As we talked with our students, our families are all different, and that is what makes us all special! Get ready for your students to be exceptionally kind and giving to you these next few weeks!

Week of Geography

Our elementary students will once again participate in National Week of Geography, which is held November 12-18. Established by presidential proclamation more than 25 years ago, this annual public awareness program organized by National Geographic Education Programs (NGEP) encourage citizens young and old to think and learn about the significance of place and how we affect and are affected by it.

Their projects will be on display during that week; however, they will be diligently preparing their work next week. Each class will be studying various landforms and presenting their studies in various ways. We will all be excited to see all of their wonderful work displayed.

Please be reminded that our tuition is billed weekly and is due either Monday or Tuesday of each calendar week. A late fee of $25 is assessed after close of business on Tuesday each week.

Original Works / School Pictures

We will be extending our Original Works deadline to Monday, November 6th. I hope that you take this opportunity to cherish your child's artwork for many years to come! Grandparents and other family members love to have this precious work as well! They make for great holiday gifts! Orders and payments are due in the office by end of day Monday. Please ensure that you return the artwork with the order.

We will have pictures on sale this evening for one last opportunity. They will be in the office for you to purchase.

Daylight Saving Time

Remember that we all get an extra hour of sleep this weekend! Do not forgot to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night!

Open House / Math Night - 11/9

We hope that you all plan to join us at our Open House / Math Night on Thursday, November 9th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to visit with the faculty and participate in some great math activities with your child. This does pertain to all students.

Veteran's Day Celebration

We will be hosting a reception for our veterans in celebration of Veteran's Day next Friday, November 10th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We look forward to celebrating the veterans that are a part of our student's lives.

As a reminder, Friday is lunch box day; students need to either ordered a catered lunch on one of our lunch forms or bring a lunch from home.

If a child brings a lunch from home on Friday, or any days of the week, please be reminded that we are unable to heat or refrigerate items. In addition, students are not permitted to have carbonated drinks, and, of course, as a nut free school, nut products are never permitted.

Parenting Resources - Daylight Savings Time

As much as we as adults are looking forward to our extra hour of sleep this weekend, it can play tricks on our children. You may find this article to help your little people make this transition.
