RAM
Random Access Memory
What Is Ram?
If you add more RAM to your computer, you reduce the number of times your CPU must read data from your hard disk. This usually allows your computer to work considerably faster, as RAM is many times faster than a hard disk.
Several types of RAM are used in modern computers. Before 2002, most computers used single data rate (SDR) RAM. Most computers made since then use either double data rate (DDR), DDR2, or DDR3 RAM. DDR2 is able to achieve faster transfer rates to prevent limitation of your CPU's performance.
Note that these RAM technologies are not interchangeable. One type of RAM will not function if installed with another type, and physical differences in the RAM modules prevent them from even being inserted in the same computer. This is a limitation that all RAM has.
ASUS Eee pc 1015t netbook 2gb RAM upgrade.
The normal RAM for this netbook is 1gb which is considered low. But because it is a netbook there will most likely be less operations for the CPU to perform. There fore it is tolerable. It is £24.99
MacBook Pro 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (15.4-inch) 4Gb upgrade.
4Gb would be a very fast laptop upgrade and would be excellent for any laptop. It is £50.
DELL WorkStation T7400 16gb upgrade
a 16gb upgrade would be an awesome connection for a computer. I could only find one computer that was compatible for this much RAM. It is not cheap, at all. £620
