Parent Survey
One of the pieces of Idaho’s new school accountability system is a parent survey. This survey asks for your input on several topics to help measure how our schools are doing in meeting your needs.
To access the survey, visit
https://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/105091/p30811. Then pick your student’s school from the drop-down menu. Please complete a survey for each school your child attends.
The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and your responses are anonymous. You can submit your survey from now until May 17, 2019.
We will use these survey responses to identify opportunities to maximize satisfaction, engagement, and communication. Additionally, the state will report the results and the number of responses on Idaho’s new school report card (https://idahoschools.org/).
Thank you for participating in the survey. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s Principal.

CAPITAL HIGH SCHOOL Important Graduation Information CLASS OF 2019
GRADUATION:
The commencement exercise will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Boise State’s Taco Bell Arena.
Seniors are to report to the arena on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:15 pm for final instructions and to line up for the processional.
REMEMBER:
Seniors who are receiving a failing grade must check with their counselor no later than Tuesday, May 7. Failure to meet with your counselor may result in student not walking in the commencement ceremony.
IMPORTANT:
We are asking that parents, friends, and students attending graduation maintain a dignified and respectful decorum by not whistling, yelling, or indulging in loud and boisterous conduct. No artificial noise makers of any kind are allowed in the arena. Taco Bell Arena personnel will confiscate any noise makers that are seen or used during the ceremony. Please make it a memorable experience for every family. The purpose of graduation is to honor each graduate for their accomplishment in a dignified ceremony.
PARKING & ACCESSIBILITY:
Free public parking is available to attendees in the lot at University and Broadway and the parking garage at University and Lincoln Ave. Please do not park in spaces with signage designated for specific purposes or service vehicles. All metered spaces require payment at all times. Accessible parking spaces are reserved for guests requiring those provisions. Spectators will use Entrances 1 and 2, located on the East end of the Arena (facing Albertsons Stadium), and will be open at 6:00 pm. Guest Services staff wheelchair escorts are available at any entry point for transportation to and from seating areas. As it is important that Arena wheelchairs remain available to escort all guests that request this assistance, please work with staff if help in finding a seat for the duration of the ceremony is needed. The top two rows of seating on the Parquet level is designated for people having mobility limitations. ADA transfer seats are located in the top row of the Parquet and Mezzanine levels. Wheelchair spaces are limited and reserved specifically for patrons with this need. These spaces are located on the Parquet Level, Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 and the Mezzanine Level, Sections 31, 34, 37. Adjacent companion seating is available in these areas.

The graduation rehearsal will be at B.S.U. Taco Bell Arena on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 10:00 am.
Seniors should report to the B.S.U. Auxiliary Gym at the rear of the Arena where they will be assisted in finding the proper line of march. All students planning to participate in the graduation ceremony MUST be in attendance at the rehearsal.
If a senior does not report for practice, it is assumed that he/she will not participate in the evening commencement exercises, and his/her name will be removed from the marching line.
CAPS AND GOWNS:
Thursday, May 16: Cap and Gown Distribution, Cafeteria 7:30 - 12:30 pm.

GRADUATION ATTIRE:
Graduation is a formal occasion. Suggested attire for male graduates is a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and dress shoes. Suggested attire for female graduates is a dress or a nice top with a skirt or slacks and low-heeled shoes. Students who wear cutoffs, shorts, flip-flops and other inappropriate attire will be asked to change or not participate in graduation. Graduates may need bobby pins to secure their cap. In order to promote a sense of unity and decorum, no decoration is allowed on the cap or gown (i.e. no leis, corsages, medallions, etc). CHS Class of 2019 stole and NHS honor cords are the only allowed additions to the graduation gown. Honor cords will be distributed to qualifying graduates the night of graduation. GRADUATION BEHAVIOR:
Participation in the graduation exercise is optional and not required to receive a diploma. Graduation is for the whole class, not individuals. If a student chooses to be part of the ceremony, behavior appropriate for a formal, dignified ceremony is expected.
