A weekly update from campus...
November 10, 2017
We were so honored to have our Veteran family members come and celebrate Veteran's Day with us today at Norris! Our 2nd grade students did an amazing job performing patriotic songs to celebrate this special day! We also got to hear from some talented essay writers. You will have another opportunity to see the program next Thursday night after our PTA meeting.
Enjoy your weekend!

2nd Grade IOWA Testing
Dear 2nd Grade Parents:
Frisco Independent School District administered the Iowa Assessment to all second grade students. This is a standardized test that measures a student’s achievement in the areas of reading, vocabulary, listening, language, mathematics and computation. The Iowa Assessment is an achievement exam that gives us a snapshot of the student and in no way reflects the whole child.
Make-up testing for students who missed any part of the exam this week will be administered the test the week of November13-16 (Monday-Thursday). Results from the testing will be reported to our campus and parents sometime after winter break. If you child will be making up any part of the exam, please:
- Make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep the night before the test.
- Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast the morning of the test.
- Have your child arrive at school on time that morning so he/she does not feel rushed.
- Notify your teacher if they will be absent during these days.
- Finally, send your child to school that day with a hug and words of encouragement.
Do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions regarding this test. Thank you.
Small World Angels
Parents, information about our Small World Angel Program was sent home in your child’s Thursday folder and electronically from their teacher. Please note there is a Sign-up Genius for each classroom angel to avoid multiple purchases of the same item. This sign up is coming from your student’s teacher.
For donated items: Please make sure the donated item return tag is attached or included with your donated item. This helps us keep the donation process as organized as possible.
Thank you all for your generosity and efforts to help our Small World Angels!
