Treat Street, Trolley Rides and Reindeer...

On Tuesday, December 20 we will enjoy a busy day. Horse drawn trolley rides will transport students around the grounds, reindeer will visit in the morning hours, and delicious treats will be served throughout the day. We need your help with the delicious treats! Would you please remember us when you are doing your holiday baking and share 1 to 2 dozen special treats that can be part of our sweet, treat street delight! Please deliver homemade baked goods to the kitchen on December 19 or the morning of December 20. Please label your item with whether it is made with any types of nuts, or if it is gluten free. Thank you so much!

Parents are welcome to get involved in activities on the 20th.

This year's Santa Shop was a great success. We want to thank all of the families that helped by donating items for sale. We are also very appreciative and thank all of the parents that volunteered time and energy for set up, sales, helping students, keeping track of inventory, depositing money, take down and clean up! We appreciate all of your time and dedication to this fun event.

Team skills camp Games

January 21nd, February 4th, February 25th January 28th, Feb.11th, March 4th, March 11th

Skill Saturdays: Grades 1-2 (9:00 a.m -10:00am. or 10:15 - 11:15 a.m) - Team specific Times TBA
Grades 3-5 (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 12:45-1:45 p.m.) – Team Specific Times TBA

There will be practice/Skill weeks and game weeks. They will alternate back and forth. The skill weeks will be run like a camp (by Mr. Boyle), but with smaller numbers and very focused instruction. We would like coaches/parents to help and be involved/assist on practice days as well. On game dates there will be no practice time before their games. Boys and girls in grades 1-2 will play on 8 foot baskets during the season (between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.) while those in grades 3-5 will play their games on regulation 10 foot baskets (between 11:30 and 1:30 p.m.).

Each game will consist of two 20 minute “running clock” halves while being officiated with volunteer officials trained by a licensed basketball official through the MHSAA.

**Returning for 2023--Depending on numbers I am considering separating boys and girls if possible. I am not sure how this will work, but I think it would be a better experience for all involved. However numbers may not allow me do this.**

The Chatfield Youth Basketball Program is a volunteer-based activity and will need help to allow the program to run smoothly each week. We expect all parents to have a vested interest in development of their child through this program. This includes helping with operating the scoreboard, concession stand workers, and the always important coaches.
Please make checks payable to “The Chatfield School.” Questions may be directed to Mr. Boyle, Athletic Director at lboyle@chatfieldschool.org.
