Superintendent’s Message: Enrollment Balancing Core Values Survey - Open through October 31!
Bellview, Helman, and Walker Families –
I want to update you on our progress as we begin the work of looking at enrollment balancing and re-drawing attendance zones at Bellview, Helman and Walker.
ENROLLMENT BALANCING COMMITTEE
The Enrollment Balancing Committee applications are closed. I am pleased to share that we have one to two family representatives and one to two staff representatives for each elementary site. I am grateful to the committee volunteers that have committed to the process, and to those who applied for the limited spaces.
The committee sought candidates that met the following criteria:
- Team players
- Big picture thinkers (District-wide perspective)
- Knowledgeable about the District and the community
- Reliable
- Available for all 5 meetings and the community open house
- Representative of the community at-large
Committee members must work by values that serve all children and have committed to 12-15 hours of meeting time between now and February 27. A sincere thank you to all who applied.
For a complete list of committee members and regular updates, please visit our Enrollment Balancing web page.
THERE IS STILL TIME TO SHARE YOUR VOICE!
Take the Survey by October 31
We are seeking community and staff input through a core values survey that will guide the work of the committee. The survey will be open through October 31. If you have a child in the Bellview, Helman, or Walker attendance zones, please take a few moments to complete the survey and share your thoughts.
There will be additional opportunity to voice during a committee Open House presentation in January 2023. For details, see the Enrollment Balancing web page.
QUESTIONS?
Please reach out to your building principal if you have questions about the attendance zone and enrollment balancing review process or the core value survey.
Thank you for all you do to keep our community a great place for kids
