Reviewing the Health & Safety Plan

The Haverford School Board will evaluate our Health and Safety Plan with respect to the latest mask guidance and changes from the state during our December 2 School Board meeting. We anticipate our Board will vote on any revisions to the current health and safety plan at our meeting on December 16. Among the data points, the Board will consider data that could be used to determine when masks might be made optional as well as any potential return to making masks required; vaccination rates, and information from both the Delaware County Health Department as well as state requirements and guidance.

COVID-19 School Notification Letter

If there is more than one COVID-19 case identified in a school, only one letter will be sent to parents/guardians on that day. You can monitor the number of cases on the SDHT COVID-19 Data Chart - Weekly Number of In-School Positive Cases by Building on our website

Any student who has been identified as a close contact of the individual diagnosed with COVID-19 has been notified of their close contact status prior to the distribution of the building letter.

Haverford High School Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The Haverford High School Student-Athlete Advisory Committee was developed in collaboration with the athletic department, administration, and staff advisors as a collective voice of student-athletes that work to enhance the athletic experience for all athletes at our school and in our community.

Each team has a Senior and Junior representative that reflects the values we hope to promote through Haverford athletics, including leadership, integrity, effort, equity, respect, and service.

The student-athlete advisory committee will be used to promote effective communication between students and school leadership and provide valuable feedback to the athletic department. Group meetings will include leadership training and discussion, community service, college and career readiness, and increased student advocacy for positive behavior and positive relationships. They will be promoting school pride and reaching out to our youth athletes at Haverford Middle School and throughout the community.

The HMS Student Council Annual Food Drive to support families in need in our community was a great success. The students hauled, lugged, and braved the chilly rain, but were thrilled with the results!
