Global Play Day
This is our fifth year participating in the worldwide Global Play Day. Our staff and students will be actively engaged on Wednesday, February 5th. Teachers will be giving time for this wonderful practice between the hours of 8:15 and noon. Students will have the opportunity to participate in fun, creative activities that do not involve any academic curriculum or technology. Some teachers may encourage students to bring in board games, legos, art projects, trucks, cars, puzzles, dolls, or any toy that does not require batteries or electricity. Students may also be participating in a fun outdoor activity. Be sure to ask your children what they did during their Global Play Day time. Flu Season Reminder
As you may already know, we are in the midst of flu season. We wanted to remind you that if your child has a fever, is vomiting, or has diarrhea, they must stay home from school. In addition, the district policy is they must be symptom free (no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea), without the aid of medication, for 24 hours before they can return. Even if your child is not experiencing any of the above symptoms, please evaluate them closely if they say they are not feeling well. It is better to be safe and keep them home, rather than send them to school when they may be coming down with something, and possibly spread illness to other students.

Parent Teacher Conferences: Thursday, March 5th-Friday March 13th
Parent-teacher conferences will begin on Thursday, March 5th and they will run through Friday, March 13th. These conferences are an important part of your child’s education. It is a time to receive information in regards to your child’s academic success, social skills, and how they are progressing mid-year. We encourage you to bring any questions or concerns, so that they can be addressed sooner, rather than later. Please make a note on your calendars that grades 1st-5th will have early dismissal at 1:15 p.m. during this conferencing period. Please be sure to inform your child's caretakers of the early dismissal.
