Building the future, one student at a time! 9/27/2019
Importance of reading with your child
Setting up a love for literacy begins at home, with quiet, intimate moments shared between you and your children. Take some time this weekend to find good books to read together. It will make a difference in the life of your child...I promise!

4th Grade Track Meet is coming soon!
WYLIE ISD 4TH GRADE TRACK MEET is on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 9:30 -1:30 at Wylie Stadium. Parents, you are welcome to come out and cheer your students on. For entry into the stadium you must either have a completed background check form on file with Wylie ISD for this year, or you’ll have to get a visitor’s badge at your home campus before coming to the stadium.
Don’t forget to have your student bring a sack lunch, water, tennis shoes, and a big smile! It’s going to be a fun filled day!
Library News from Mrs. Bach
Our Follett Book Fair is HERE! The students are excited and probably most of all,
I am excited. There is nothing more wonderful than the smell of a new book and
nothing more exciting than digging into a good book.
Students will begin making their wish lists this week and we need YOUR help!!! Please click on the sign up link below and see when you can help. It takes help from many Gator parents to make the book fair a success.
Here are the times the book fair will be open:
Monday, September 30th – Friday October 4th 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
Monday. October 7th 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Come see us before or after dinner!
Tuesday, October 8th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (this is a change)
Students may purchase at school and we always recommend purchasing a Follett
Gift card so we don’t have tears when money is lost or misplaced. You can go to
Follettgift.com to purchase a card in the amount you want.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the book fair and thank you in advance for
Your help! I couldn’t do it without you!

2. Children must try to eat a healthy snack for 21 days
3. Parents must respond to the survey after the 21 day challenge has ended
Registration for the Challenge opens on Sept. 23 and continues through Oct. 7. The Challenge begins on Monday, Oct. 7 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 27th.
Encourage your student(s) to make healthy snacking choices for 21 days
Each student (K-4) will receive a recipe book with over 20 snack recipes created by high school students, including Wylie ISD students
Parents can help their children participate, but the recipes are designed for kids to make themselves
Parents are not asked to purchase the items in the recipe book. The Snack Finder on the KTK website can help families use what is in their home to create snacks. Fresh fruits and vegetables count as a healthy snack too!
