Summer Learning Program
Good Morning!
The Department of Teaching & Learning is recruiting teachers, paraprofessionals, and ELL aides to work with students who need more instruction and time to master skills in English and math or to recover high school English or math credit. This year we will offer Summer Learning Programs during June for elementary and middle school students and credit recovery options for high school students.
Summer School Teachers
The success of this program depends upon the commitment from our teachers. Teachers will be paid $25.00 per hour to teach summer school. Teachers who teach in the elementary and middle school programs work four hours per day (three hours of instruction plus one hour of planning time). High school teachers are paid up to 8 hours per day.
Summer School Para Professionals/ ELL Aides
Limited Para Professional/Aide positions will also be available. Staff hired to support the Summer School programs as Paras and Aides will be paid their regular hourly rate.
