HMS Weekly Update
Friday, September 23rd
Our Team Will Shine Tonight!
We had a wonderful week here at HMS celebrating our Brickie Pride!
We are looking forward to cheering on our boys at the game tonight.
Kickoff is 7pm at the Brickyard!
Spirit Week at HMS
This year we started a new club here at HMS, Spirit Club! The role of the Spirit Club is to support those members of the student body who represent the school in athletics, plays, band, and other club performances or competitions. The Spirit Club is responsible for all activities during Spirit Week and organized the dress up days, pep rally, and teacher flash mob! We are so grateful to the club members, and especially to the sponsors, Mrs. Curatolo and Mrs. Trezak (pictured below) for bringing this to fruition!

HMS Brickie, Eli, Receives Liver Transplant Thanks To Riley Children's Hospital!
A Colts Superfan's 'Best Thing Ever'
Thanks to the research and expertise at Riley Children's Health, when you ask 13-year-old Colts superfan Eli Otero to describe himself today, there's no hesitation. "Awesome," says the eight grader from Hobart Middle School. "Happy. More confident." Just over two years ago, it was a quite different description.
Stay Informed!
The School City of Hobart uses Remind to communicate with families via text messages and/or phone calls.
What are some ways that we use Remind?
- District News- Weekly newsletter, emergency closings, and other important information
- Class Reminders from Teachers - Events, tests, homework, due dates
- Announcements and Celebrations
- One-on-One Help
If you have not been receiving our messages and would like to, please reach out to your student's teacher for their Remind class code, which you will then text to 81010. For example, if you wanted to join a class with the class code @math, you would text @math to 81010.
College Go Week!
College GO Week is Sept 26-30! College GO Week is dedicated to helping students find the right college that fits their personality and interests. College GO gives students options to research schools and helps guide them through the steps of preparing and applying for college or trades. We have several activities planned for our HMS students during the school day with many opportunities to earn prizes! Please also encourage your child to participate in spirit week!
