The Cardinal Café will be holding a Holiday Meal on Wednesday, Dec. 12th. The hot meal will be meat lasagna (with a veggie lasagna option), green beans, garlic toast, veggie pack, fresh fruit and iced fudge brownies. There will not be a second hot option on this day. Cold alternatives (PBJ, pizza pack and turkey sandwich) will be available. The green beans and veggie pack can be selected with any entrée option, not just the hot. The brownies come with a full meal deal purchase (with either hot or cold entrée selections).
Parents are welcome to contact the Café Manager if they have any allergy questions or concerns.
Scholastic Book Orders
Book Orders are due Friday, December 14, 2018
I want to be sure they are back before winter break and sometimes shipping gets tricky this time of year! If you have any questions or you want me to keep books hidden for gifts, just let me know and we can make arrangements for pick up.
Order Due Date - 12/14/2018

Charging iPads
Apps from Global Studies-Chinese
Students had a great start in Global Studies (Chinese)! During the recent two weeks, they learned fun facts about China and the difference between the phonetics and the writing system in Chinese. 1st grade students colored the flag of China and practiced “hello”, “thank you”, and “goodbye” in Chinese. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students learned how to type Chinese characters on keyboard and played Kahoot using the knowledge they just learned.
Students may need to download two apps that will be used during Global Studies if they don’t already have them installed. The apps needed are: Microsoft Word & Whiteboard Brush. Students will use these apps to display learning during Global Studies. Students who rent iPads from HSE can access these apps through the HSE App Portal. Students who bring their own iPads will need to download these apps through the App Store.
