World Language Survey

The World Language Survey helps us properly prepare for how many students may enroll in French or Spanish. We have students coming from many different middle schools with multiple levels of world language experience and this survey gives us a better understanding of your student's exposure to world language.

If you did not complete the survey at Course Selection Night, had a virtual appointment, or have an upcoming course selection appointment, please complete the survey HERE.

The World Language Department will offer a placement test in French and Spanish during the week of May 23-27. A link to the placement test will be emailed, and your student will be able to complete the test virtually. More details to come!

Athletic Survey

Organized sports are a big part of high school for many students. The Pius XI Athletic Department wants to make sure that they have reached out to all of the student athletes in the Class of 2026 with information regarding coaching, registration, and try out dates.

Please take a few moments to fill out this brief survey HERE regarding athletics for the upcoming school year. This is the best way to get your student on the radar of specific coaches.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Kate Radosevic in the Athletic Office at kradosevic@piusxi.org.

Choice Program

The Milwaukee Parental Choice Program application period is now over. Letters regarding the status of your student's MPCP seat were mailed via USPS.

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program application is open through April 15, 2022.

For families who are applying for Wisconsin Parental Choice, the application is available on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's website: https://dpi.wi.gov/parental-education-options/choice-programs.

After submitting a Choice application the DPI sends an auto generated email confirming receipt of the application. Please make sure to read the email and submit supporting documents such as proof of residency and/or proof of income to piusxichoiceprogram@piusxi.org. Supporting documents may also be dropped off in an envelope with your student's name in the drop box located next to the main office doors.

Tuition/Fee Schedule

Course registration and book/technology fees will be due in the month of May. The first tuition payment will be due in June. For those who opt to make monthly payments, payments will run June-April.

Tuition, books, and fees will total $13,900 for the 2022-2023 school year. This breaks down as follows: $100 registration fee, $500 book/technology fee, and tuition of $13,300.

Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Herschel, Newton, Leavitt… Leavitt? Henrietta Swan Leavitt’s contribution to the field of astronomy is that she gave us the tools to map out the stars in the universe. She discovered the correlation between Period and Luminosity. This helped turn the sky into a three-dimensional map allowing astronomers to solve the unknown in the equation: Distance. A decade later in 1929, Edwin Hubble built off Leavitt’s work to demonstrate that the universe has more galaxies than just the Milky Way.

SILENT SKY by Lauren Gunderson tells the story of Leavitt, and her work at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900's. Director Katie Johnson says, "in telling this story, we have challenged society’s outlook on what it is like to be an independent woman working for something much bigger than herself."

The production runs March 17-20 in our Black Box Theater! Purchase tickets HERE.

The Boys and Girls Seasons ended this past weekend. The coaches and players want to thank the Pius XI community - parents, staff, students and alum - for their support. The teams felt the pride for our great school throughout the entire season. Go Popes and Lady Popes!
