Jane Goodall
Valerie Jane Morris Goodall was born April 3rd 1934. Goodall is best known for her 55-year study of social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park,Tanzania. She is founder of her own institute Jane Goodall institute and the Roots & Shoots program. Her influences in STEM were she provided us a better look at how chimpanzees are some way connected to humankind. Fun fact, Goodall was first introduced to chimpanzees as a baby her father had bought her a toy chimp she named Jubilee. Another fun fact, Goodall first traveled to Africa when she was 23 years-old to visit an old friend in Kenya.
Steve Jobs
Steven Paul Jobs was born February 24, 1955. He passed on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56. American information technology entrepreneur and inventor. He was the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer at Apple Inc. As well as the largest shareholder of Pixar animation studios and a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of directors. His contributions to cyber technology are making the earliest models and designs of the Apple computers. Fun fact, Jobs was adopted shortly after being born. Another fun fact, Jobs was biologically, half Arab. His biological father was Syrian and his mother was American.
Galileo Galilei
Galileo was born February 15, 1564 in Florence, Italy. He died at the age of 77 on January 8, 1642. He is the father of observational astronomy and modern physics. His contributions to observational astronomy include the telescopic confirmation of the phases of Venus, the discovery of the four largest satellites of Jupiter (named the Galilean moons in his honor), and the observation and analysis of sunspots.Galileo also worked in applied science and technology, inventing an improved military compass and other instruments. Fun fact Galileo never married and had all his children out of wedlock with Marina Gambia, whom he met on a trip to Venice. Another fun fact, In the last year of his life, he was totally blind, Galileo designed an escapement mechanism for a pendulum clock called Galileo's escapement.
Bill Gates
Bill Gates was born William Henry Gates III on October 28, 1955 he is 60 years old. Bill Gates is an American business magnate, entrepreneur, philanthropist, investor, and computer programmer. In 1975, Gates an Paul Allen co-founded Microsoft, which became the world's largest PC software company. During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of chairman, CEO and chief software architect, and was the largest individual shareholder until May 2014. Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. Fun fact, Bill almost achieved his goal of being a millionaire by the age of 30. He became a millionaire at 31. Another fun fact, Gates earned an honorary degree from Harvard in 2007, thirty-two years after dropping out.
