Principal's Message

Hello Seco Families,

Next Friday, March 19, is the end of the third quarter. Please check below for next week's bell schedule. Periods 4, 5, and 6 meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Periods 1, 2, and 3 meet on Tuesday and Thursday.

The district is planning for a return to in person hybrid learning beginning March 29. Please watch for much more information over the next couple of weeks. We look forward to welcoming many of our students physically back onto campus!

This week we honor the many contributions of our amazing Social Worker staff, who run groups, support students and their families, and facilitate the Building Community Parent Nights. Please join me in thanking Ira Rounsaville, Lisa Poff, Karen Mora, Vanessa Ehrlich, Adriana Toscano, and Andi Sinclair. We appreciate everything you do for our students and community!

Saugus High School Orientation Week

8th graders will receive information regarding Saugus High School's athletics and elective offerings through their P.E. class this coming week of March 15th. Students will also learn how to register for their 9th grade classes at Saugus High School. March 15th & 16th will focus on ASB and athletics, while the 18th & 19th will revolve around elective departments. Please feel free to reach out to your child's school counselor if you have any questions.

Student Desks for Home Use

Is your student struggling with staying focused and organized during this time of distance learning? Is he or she in need of a dedicated work space at home?

Having a small desk to work and study from can certainly help.

Canyon English Teacher Laurel Priesz and WiSH Education Foundation Director Amy Daniels have teamed up to offer a foldable tray table & chair to any Hart District student in need. Sets will be available for pickup at the Hart District Office on select Saturdays each month.

If you would like to receive a set for your student, please fill out and sign the attached form with your child (completing it electronically using the Kami chrome extension is the easiest way) and email it to Laurel Priesz at

Wednesdays each week are the deadline for form submission for the next pickup date and dependent upon supply. Once your paperwork is received, you and your student will be notified via the email on the form when your pickup date will be, along with the address and instructions. Deliveries are always on a Saturday between 11am and Noon.

Tener un pequeño pupitre para trabajar y estudiar definitivamente puede ayudar.

La maestra de inglés de Canyon Laurel Priesz y la directora de la Fundación Educativa WiSH Amy Daniels se han unido para ofrecerles una mesa plegable y una silla para cualquier estudiante del Distrito de Hart que lo necesite. Los sets estarán disponibles para ser recogidos en la oficina del Distrito de Hart en los días sábado determinados de cada mes.

Summer School

Information pertaining to summer school has now been posted to the Hart District website,, under the "SCHOOLS" tab at the top of the webpage. Summer school provides opportunities for credit recovery and enrichment, and information regarding available classes can be found on the summer school site. Summer School Registration MUST be done through your junior high school counselor. Parents must notify their child's school counselor regarding selection of summer school classes they would like to sign up for. Your child's school counselor can assist with needed course selection.
