The Titan Way - Respectful Language, Attitude and Actions
We are working on some last items for our master schedule planning sessions and will share some information this week about those who might be affected. This situation is never easy for anyone and I will do my best with teacher leadership to make it a fair and transparent process.
Please join us at the Taste of Eastlake Event this Friday Night. Check it out -->

Please welcome Mr. Memo Flores to our staff! Mr. Flores comes to us from Otay Ranch High School. He will be taking over Mr. Stephen's classes.
Due to the coronavirus concerns, we will not be hosting students from certain countries for the immediate future. More details as I find out.
Let's get to some main points for the week.
A. FAC. We have decided to have our FAC meeting this week on Tuesday. Please make sure you let your representatives know of your concerns or suggestions.
B. Common Syllabus and PLC Planning. By this time, we are hoping that you have completed a rough draft of your common syllabus. We are going to meet with Trevor shortly to discuss a website to upload and house these items. Check with Karina if you need a pullout for your department to finalize planning. You should also use the pullout to work on your first Common Formative Assessment.
C. Titan Institute. This Friday, we will have a great training around the use of Illuminate to track data. Please use this time to see how Common Formative Assessments can be easily transferred to Illuminate to track data.
D. WASC Update. A huge component of our WASC will be around our evaluation of school goals and progress. Please be involved in the dialogue as we implement our strategies.
E. Teacher of the Year. Make sure you start thinking about that vote. They are due by this Friday.
G. Next SSA Training. We are looking for about 20 fabulous freshmen and 20 super sophomore to participate in the next Safe School Ambassador training on February 18-19. We need a well-rounded group of students. Please feel free to give us your suggestions (email Mark Brickley). Please submit those names as soon as possible. We are also looking for about 4-5 staff members interested in the two day training.
H. PD Opportunities. I forwarded an email to everyone last week from Dr. Fulcher. Let me know if you are interested in these great opportunities.
