Tim's Take!
Family should always come first, and tomorrow's work can take a pause. If the day brought on stress, do what I do...put yourself in the presence of those who put a smile on your face. The day's stress will magically disappear by simply being in their presence and being present for them.
Congratulations to our Staff Members of the Week!

Bus Evacuation Drill - Wednesday, Jan 29th
Our mandatory spring Bus Evacuation Drill is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29th at 7am. We need volunteers to help run this drill!
The first semester bus evacuation drill was a success because so many of you volunteered to help with the process. In order to have the same successful experience for the second semester, any staff member that does not have a morning duty and wants to volunteer should sign up here for the spring Bus Evacuation Drill. Volunteers will meet in front of the cafeteria at 6:50am on Wednesday. Please bring your cell phone and a pen.
In an effort to show appreciation, staff who are willing and able to help may choose two of the following incentives:
Comp Time
Beat the Bus Pass
Jeans Day
Email Mr. Copeland if you have any questions.

Active Threat Plan Important Information - Action Required
Please complete the following Mach Form by 2/5/20 to confirm you have completed the crisis training during the 2019-2020 school year and feel prepared during our drills. https://ccmhs.pasco.k12.fl.us/mform/view.php?id=188978
If you are a new employee or if you have completed the training but would like to attend another refresher training, please email dgricosk@pasco.k12.fl.us . We will send you an invite to our next crisis training make-up session.
Thank you for a successful ATP Scenario 3 Drill. I wanted to provide some feedback to questions we had prior to the drill and resources to help you feel prepared. Some of the questions we received;
- What are our points of reunification in the case of a real emergency? Our first reunification location is Life Church on Old Pasco Road, our second reunification location is Wesley Chapel High School.
- How do we get to the reunification location? Life Church is located south from the school at 6224 Old Pasco Road. It is on the left side of the road, 2.6 miles from CCMHS. WCHS is located at 30651 Wells Road. It is 3.6 miles to the southeast of CCMHS. During a real emergency you would run or walk as fast as you can until you get to Life Church or WCHS.
- Should I run or Barricade? This decision is based on your training, what you hear over the announcement, and what you hear or see outside of your classroom.
I am attaching the video link from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office about how to best prepare and react during an Active Threat for your reference.
