Istation: Every learner is responsible for reading 45 minutes per week using Istation. Please remind your learner to complete their minutes daily.

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
READING & WRITING
Reading this week, we will continue with our Nonfiction unit. Learners are learning ways how nonfiction texts become increasingly complex and understanding those complexities. We also will continue our new read-aloud book, Prairie Lotus by Linda Sue Park.
MATH
In Math, learners continued on operations with fractions. Learners explored different web sites to work interactively with fractions. They created videos to model addition, subtraction, and estimation of fractions, that included common and unlike denominators.
SCIENCE
In Science, learners explored the flow of electricity in open and closed circuits. They were able to describe parallel and series circuits using simulations.
SOCIAL STUDIES
In Social Studies this week, we learned about the Bill of Rights.
