Please be sure to encourage your child to advocate for his- or her- self at school, as this will prepare them for high school.


Students should be working on their health journals. They received copies of 21-30, the next set that needs to be completed after Christmas.

Read 180: Students are writing argument essays about the worst invader species.


Story: Students are watching The Giver and after taking a test on the book on Monday.

Sternig:

All students have access to IXL to practice their math skills. Each class has different skill sets and skill levels to be working towards improvement. See link below.



1st Hour: Finishing chapter 2 with division story problems. Chapter 2 test early next week. Study guide will be sent home on Friday.


3rd Hour: Finishing chapter 1 test on Monday. Moving into comparing and converting fractions and decimals.


9th Hour: Review for chapter 2 test. Chapter 2 test scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Study guide will be sent home on Tuesday.

Science

Mr.Dziatkiewicz will be having a quiz on Tuesday study guides due completed Tuesday. Study guides should be used tonight as well as the quizlet definitions of these words: valence electrons, matter, electronic theory, insulator, semi-conductor, multimeter, and proton.

Mr.Peacy: Mr. Peacy's classes will be working on a research project in nano technology due Dec 11th.

Mrs. Miller's: classes will be doing research on their specific aircraft through the week. Starting aircraft construction .

Social Studies

Mrs. Miller:

Students will begin Chapter 6 and take notes. The Ch. 6-1 & 6-2 Quiz is scheduled for Friday December 11th. We will be reading and completing notes on 6-1 and 6-2 this week.


Mrs. Paulson: We will finish up notes on 6-1 and then move on to 6-2. There will be a quiz at the end of the week, which is tentatively scheduled for Thursday the 10th of December.
