From the Principal

The end of January is here! We had a wonderful College and Career week at LSRO! Our students learned about their teacher's college experience, we shared some important information about college and choosing careers on our morning announcements, and we had some visits from some colleges that shared with our students. It was a great week!

Next week is National School Counseling Week. We will celebrate and appreciate our counselor, Katie Ostrander, for all that she does for our students and our campus. See below for more information about this special week

Have a great weekend!

National School Counseling Week--February 3 - 7

Next week is National School Counseling Week. It's a week set aside to help students understand a little bit about what a school counselor does and to celebrate and appreciate our school counselor, Katie Ostrander. This year, the theme for this week is "Helping Build Better Humans". Our students will make cards and signs that tell how Mrs. Ostrander has helped them. Tuesday and Wednesday are set aside to bring Mrs. Ostrander a small gift or treat. If you would like to participate, here are a few of her favorites:

  • White cheddar popcorn
  • Chocolate chip cookies
  • Chick-fil-A
  • TJ Maxx

Thank you, in advance, for helping us celebrate our school counselor, Mrs. Ostrander!

Life Leader

SELF-MANAGED

When you are ready for life, you take responsibility for your own behavior and actions. You know when you should change your behavior for the well being of others around you. You are able to be in control of your body, thoughts, and emotions. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, Self- Managed.

This weeks I will statement:

“I will manage my self by controlling my thoughts and actions so I do not hurt others.”

CCMR

This week we are not spotlighting any specific college, but highlighting a variety of college and career opportunities during our College and Career week. Be sure to ask your students what they have learned this week.
