Women's suffrage started on 1848 in the United States. On July 19-20 1848 the first women's rights convention. 1869 wyoming territory grants women the right to vote. 1887 the first vote on woman suffrage is taken to senate and defeated. 1910 first women's suffrage parade in New York. 1920 women win the right to vote.
What was life like during women's suffrage
During the women's suffrage movement women and women organizations worked for equal rights. Women were working and wanted to be treated as equals. Women wanted to be able to own property and in a divorce keep custody of their children. They payed taxes and they wanted to be able to vote.
