March 2021
Dear CCES Families,
It seems as though March Madness is here, and we don't mean the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Here at school we refer to March Madness as the doldrums of March that seem to be long and wintery with a mix of spring-like weather where we are all antsy for a change of season and to be able to get outside. One might argue that we have been in an endless state of March Madness for the past year with physical distancing guidelines, travel restrictions, and missing family or friends that we cannot be with right now due to the pandemic.
Either way, if you have felt restless for the past year or increasingly so as we come into March 2021, be hopeful that changes are on the horizon. Our children need us to ease their stress and be hopeful in knowing that things will change for the better as we are cruising towards the last quarter of the school year. If your child is feeling stressed about school, or school work, please reach out to your child's teacher, our school counselor Mrs. Blanchard or to either Mrs. Nickerson or Ms. Wyman in the main office. We continue to strive to make teaching and learning not only safe this school year but also fun. Additionally, if you have ideas for how we can incorporate fun and Covid 19 friendly activities into our academic programs we would love to hear from you.
Remember, as always we are here if you need us and if you do follow the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament it starts on March 18th.
Happy March Madness!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nickerson and Ms. Wyman

Parent Pick Up Reminders
We should not have anyone parking in the "standing only" zone or beyond the crosswalk to the parking lot. Staff are unable to supervise both the students who are lined up waiting and those that may be exiting the building and heading into the side driveway where the buses exit.
Student Council
Each staff and student that wanted to participate made a donation of a quarter or more to wear their hat for the day. The CCES community raised $575.26 to buy pet supplies to be donated.
