Davis/Martin Peek at the Week
October 24 - 28
Dear Parents,
Monday is the last day of the Book Fair. Friday, there will be a ticketed event: Grossology. This week is also Red Ribbon week! Students may participate in the dress up days as follows:
Monday: wear red
Tuesday: crazy socks
Wednesday: super-hero shirts
Thursday: wear black and gold
Friday: dress up as your favorite book character
Thursday, students will have a quest (more than a quiz, not quite a test) on Early Explorers. They received their study guides Thursday and will need to bring them back on Monday, so that we can finish them together. Students should have index cards to make flashcards for the explorers they will be tested on.
We have an intern from Arkansas State University for the second nine weeks. Her name is Brooklyn Hinson and we are so lucky to have her with us. She will be taking on some classroom responsibilities and teaching several Math and Literacy lessons to students with our guidance. She is already fitting right in!
