Veteran's Day
Why it Should be a National Holiday
What is Veteran's Day?
Veteran's Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954
Why should Veteran's Day be a National Holiday?
Veteran's day is currently not a national holiday. It honors all veterans who have either died or served our country. The real question is why should it not be a holiday! Veteran's Day should be a time when veterans can come home and be happy with family members. Veterans deserve a break from hard work in the military. Without them, we wouldn't be free! We need to thank them for serving us and some even giving the ultimate sacrifice.
