Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!

This has been a busy summer! Our building and staff are getting ready to welcome you back for another great school year! I am excited to share that thanks to the generosity and commitment of our parents and community, the bond work at Westridge has given us an incredible, fresh, and innovative learning environment for our Wildcats. We cannot wait to see you on Monday, August 26th.

As we button up finishing touches at Westridge, please note that campus will continue to be closed to the public through the end of the day August 23rd, 2019. We appreciate your patience and know that the anticipation is just as exciting for us as it is for you and your families! Please note teachers will be prioritizing being prepared for teaching your children over decorated bulletin boards and finishing touches to classroom décor.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday, August 26th!

Bulk School Supply Update!

If you contributed to bulk school supplies last spring, the Green Committee has your school supplies covered! This week the green committee will sort supplies into boxes for each teacher/classroom so that every classroom is equipped and ready to go for the start of the school year. Reminder that because these are bulk communal supplies your student will not receive a “kit” of supplies. You only need to send: a backpack, lunch bag, 3 inch 3 ring binder for Jaques class only, and a 4 function only calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide) for sixth grade math class

If you didn’t participate if bulk supplies, the supply lists can be found here. Please send these items with your student(s) on the first day of school, unless otherwise indicated by the classroom teacher.

Increased Safety & Security - Raptor Technology

We are excited for the start of school and we are excited to welcome everyone back to school. As a reminder, with safety being our top priority, all schools are now utilizing the Raptor Visitor Management. On the first day of school, Westridge will have staff greeting students and parents when entering the building, and every parent will be welcomed as they drop off their student(s).

The Raptor Visitor Management system will be functional in our school that day. Please have patience with us in the first week of school as we operationalize our security procedures and systems. Please bring your state issued picture ID to register with the Raptor Visitor system!

Learn more about how to register: LOSD & Raptor

Student Enrollment Verification (action item)

Parents of all students enrolled for the 2019-20 school year must log into ParentVUE and review/update their students' information through the Online Registration tab.

Schools rely on parents to ensure that this information is correct so they can contact the appropriate people during an emergency, respond to a medical situation, and communicate non-emergency information effectively. If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Create New Account or Reset Password" and choose "Forgot Password." For guidance, visit the LOSD website (under "Enrolling and Transfer > Online Registration) or contact the school at 503-534-2371. We appreciate your help!

Back to School Night- NEW!
