February newsletter
Principal's Corner
This is an important reminder from Mrs. Mullins regarding the school schedule on Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, all scholars are distance learning and are required to show up for school by 8:35 am, and the school day ends at 1:52 pm. The teacher will be providing live instruction until 10:35 am, and then will be assigning asynchronous work for the remainder of the day. Many teachers assign assessments during these days because scholars can have more time to complete these important tests. Also, teachers are pulling small groups of students to work on specific skills and provide re-instruction for those that need it. Teachers review the daily schedule with their scholars in the morning so that they understand the expectation, and many of them post a copy of their daily schedule on their Schoology page. Please make sure your child is not utilizing the district provided device to access YouTube or other unapproved sites. If your scholar is done with all of their asynchronous work before 1:52, please have them access EPIC Reading, Amplify Reading, or DreamBox to work on academic skills. Thank you for working with us to provide the best educational experience for your child."
