Remote Learning for PK-6
November 9, 2021
Dear PK-6 Families:
This afternoon I sent out a One Call Now letting families know that tomorrow, Wednesday, November 10 all PK-6 students will be remote. Our 7-12 grade students will continue with in-person instruction as planned.
At the elementary level we currently have four positive cases. After consulting with Hamilton County Public Health and reviewing the situation with Mrs. Billings, I've made the decision that time apart for our PK-6 students is needed at this time.
We do not have school on Thursday, November 11 due to it being Veterans Day. The current plan is for all PK-6 students, those who are not quarantined, to return to in-person instruction on Friday, November 12. If that plan changes, you will be notified.
Your child's homeroom teacher made sure that your child's Chromebook was in their backpack before they left school today. If something was forgotten or something additional is needed we will make arrangements to get that to you. Please note that all remote learning information is available on our website under the "School Closure Home Base." This includes when check-ins take place and any needed information for the day.
Please remember that we have testing available for all students. If you would like your child screened we can make that happen. Just please give us a call at school and we will set that up.
I understand there is a lot of information to absorb, and these situations always seem to happen very quickly. Please don't hesitate to call or email us at school. If we don't have the answer, we'll do our very best to find it for you.
Thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Ms. Noelle J. Short
Superintendent/Principal
