Coronado's Talent Auditions
Coronado’s Talent is putting out the call to Coronado residents of all ages with talent to
audition for the 4th annual show scheduled for 7pm on February 22, 2020.
Coronado’s Talent’s annual extravaganza wows the audience and celebrates the residents of our community by featuring about 20 acts of all ages and talents with 100% of the net proceeds benefiting the Coronado Schools Foundation and the Coronado School of the Arts.
Auditioning is very easy. Live auditions are on January 12 from 1pm to 4pm at the Black Box Theatre, located at Coronado High School just north of the main entrance at 650 D Ave, Coronado, CA.
Schedule your audition on the website: www.coronadostalent.com. Audition videos can also be submitted via emailing your video to info@coronadostalent.com as an alternative to a live audition.
Past talented contestants have been singers, bands, silk aero acrobats, hula hoopers, yo-yo entertainers, artistic yoga routines, dancers, jump rope teams, comedians, and much more. The contestants are treated to a red carpet experience complete with a green room, participation gifts, features in the program, a personalized video played the night of the show, a head shot photo, and the possibility to win some amazing prizes donated by businesses.
Last year the Grand Prize included a 3-month family membership to the Club at the Del valued at nearly $4,000. Winners are determined by judges and audience donation votes.
Alan Kinzel, producer of Coronado’s Talent says, “We have been blessed with some amazing talent. Some of our previous contestants have recording contracts, been featured in feature films, American Idol, and the Gong Show among others. Last years winner went on to win the International Opera singing competition in China. While the talent is very good, the best part of the event is the celebration of our community with everyone coming together to enjoy the unique show for a good cause. We love to have a diversity of age and acts and encourage everyone regardless of age or talent to audition!”

CoSA FOUNDATION PARENT FUND UPDATE
Dear CoSA Families,
Congratulations on being part of the Nationally Recognized, Award-Winning Coronado School of the Arts.
CoSA relies on contributions from EVERY family to ensure that every CoSA student receives the very best, pre-professional level education in the Arts.
Did you know that although CoSA is a school-within-a-school on the campus of Coronado High School, Coronado Unified School District ONLY supports 1 hour out of the 3 hours daily of arts education? The annual $2,000 per student request is a tax-deductible contribution that breaks down to roughly $1.49 per hour for the school year. The value and return on your contribution is more than tenfold!!
WHY Contribute?
- CoSA relies on parent donations and the community to support 2 hours daily of instruction for our children. WITHOUT THESE CONTRIBUTIONS COSA CANNOT SURVIVE!
- YOUR donation funds teachers' salaries, office support, and materials & supplies.
HOW to Contribute:
- DIRECT: Visit the CoSA Foundation website: cosafoundation.org
- YOU can make a one-time donation of $2,000, or set up convenient monthly contributions via credit card or check. Click on the Purple button.
- WORKPLACE: You can reach out to your company and ask if they will sponsor your child, or if they will match your donation.
- NETWORK: You can send an email blast to family and friends, providing them the link (cosafoundation.org) and your child’s name and conservatory.
- FUNDRAISE: You can fundraise on behalf of your child and their conservatory.
WHERE your funds go:
We are all in this together and believe every child should have access to San Diego County’s Elite Choice for Arts Education. Call Beth Connelly, our CoSA Foundation Executive Administrator, at 619-522-6202 to discuss creative ways to contribute.
Thank You for Your Support!
