News from Elder's Desk
The Admin team continues to analyze the survey data and discuss avenues to address the concerns highlighted in the survey. Since the spring semester began, we noticed a few campus expectations that are not consistently maintained to the level of excellence that we expect. For example, requiring students and staff to wear ids, being on time, and adhering to dress code, are expected and must be maintained. These expectations support a safe and orderly environment, provide a positive atmosphere, and help shape our campus climate. When these expectations are overlooked, they can become issues if consistently ignored. Everyone has to take an active part in addressing our campus expectations, so we can experience the level of excellence that we expect at AMCHS. We will constantly examine our challenges, reflect on our practices, and identify our goals to enhance our AMCHS community.
For the next several weeks the Admin team will be working through the requirements of T-TESS. Though this evaluation system is time-consuming, we are looking forward to the conversations we will have with our teachers and students, and we cannot wait to observe the learning at AMCHS. If you are scheduled to have a 45-minute evaluation, be sure you are knowledgeable of the T-TESS rubric and contact your appraiser with any questions that you may have. Your ratings for the four domains will be guided by the rubric.
Driven by Purpose and Determine to Impact!
