GT-Gifted & Talented
We had a blast in October learning about the Ancient Egyptians. The products created by the students included making papyrus paper and then writing hieroglyphics on it, assembling and designing a sarcophagus, the mummification process, creating a pyramid and placing everything inside the tomb for the pharaoh. I can't believe we did all that too.
In November we will be moving on from the Egyptian civilization and turning to the Romans and the Greeks. For the first two weeks of November, students will
explore how modern terms and customs are influenced by ancient cultures.
create original products, scripts, and events modeled after those of the ancient Greeks.
Our lesson titles are : "It's All Greek to Me" and "All Roads Lead to Rome"
We will begin to explore ancient China where students will
assess the contributions of Ancient China, to include the four great inventions and the Great Wall.
This is going to turn out to be one exciting month.
