Christine Spray, Founder & President of Strategic Catalyst, Inc.
Christine Spray is a nationally recognized business development keynote speaker, best-selling author three times, consultant, trainer, coach and Certified EOS Implementer. Spray serves as a CEO and business advisor with a passion for helping people and companies grow.
Even the most successful business executives find running a business more challenging than they expected. Eventually, most grapple with one (or more) of the following challenges:
-- Lack of Control – over time, the market, or the company
-- People – employees, customers and venders that just don’t seem to listen or follow through
-- Profit – simply put, there’s not enough of it
-- Growth – the company just can’t break through to the next level
-- Magic Pills – lots of remedies and quick fixes have come and gone but the wheels are still spinning
Participants gain simple, effective tools that can be immediately used and put into action. They will learn how to help drive financial performance to a new level. Finally, participants will learn how to get a pulse on their business and gain immediate traction to achieve the results they desire.

Product Development Simulation Game – February 21st, 2019
Description from their Eventbrite page
Join us at our February 21st, 2019 ALN Houston Chapter Meeting
Product Development Simulation Game
Abstract:
In this highly engaging session [suitable for the beginner to the advanced practitioner] you’ll experience estimating, planning and delivering a new product and product features. Your team resolves uncertainty in value and costs through rolling dice based on the stories that your team selects and prioritizes. You’ll run through 3 iterations of story cost, value estimation, and product feature delivery. Your team scores points for delivering product features and meeting release and iteration commitments.
The simulation aims to have levels of uncertainty in value and delivery similar to those found in software development. You’ll come away with a better understanding of the challenges of working with uncertainty in software projects, and learn that some popular approaches for managing software projects may have counterproductive results.
