Meteors have three different forms, meteors, meteoroids, and meteorites. Meteroids are rocks that stay in space, meteors burn up in earth atmosphere, and meteorites hit earth. Most meteors come from debre off a comets tail. You may know meteors as "Shooting Stars".

Comets are made of ice and dust. That's why they are sometimes called "dirty snowballs". The tail, the trail of dust and debris falling off comet, always face away from the sun. They are left over from the creation of the universe.

Asteroids are large chunks of rock that mainly come from the asteroid belt, located between mars and Jupiter. They are small metallic bodies that orbit the sun. They are to small to be classified as planets .Asteroids can range in shape and size.
