Weekly Notes (2-25-19 -- 3-1-19)
Monday:
- Welcome Lauren Hartman to our social work team! Lauren will be at Kurtz on Mondays. More information as to her role to come!
- Sue Baldwin and I will be interviewing candidates for Lisa's vacated 31A para position at 3:00 in the conference room.
Tuesday:
- Leadership Night starts at 6:00.
Wednesday:
- Yearbook candids.
Thursday:
- Dena, Kathy, Megan and I will be attending District SIP planning at Lakeland.
Friday:
- Welcome Ashlee Haller to the Kurtz Cats para team!!
- BIT
- MARCH is Reading Month Launch - Assembly at 9:30 in the cafeteria. We will need 15 minutes to get the kids fired up for our month of reading fun!

Monday:
- Mid-Winter recess. No school
Tuesday:
- SIT Meeting in the computer lab at 8:15. Click here to view the agenda.
Wednesday:
- 1:20 Occupant Restricted to building (Lock Down drill). This is the traditional "shelter in place" drill. Last lunch will remain in the cafeteria, staff will bring 2/3 students into the building and to class.
Thursday:
- I will be attending a principal's meeting and returning after lunch time.
Friday:
- CAT program review in the morning.

- Lisa Spoor is starting Tuesday as our office coordinator!
- Rusty wanted to share this $50 Donors Choose gift card for doing this survey https://help.donorschoose.org/hc/en-us/articles/360015134734. He said it took about 10 minutes.

Monday:
- Our first ALICE: Dangerous Person drill will take place at 9:45. Remember, "Quickly and Safely Kids!!"
- I will be attending a Special Education Review meeting at the Board Office at 3:30.
Tuesday:
- Staff meeting at 8:15 in the STEM Lab. Click here for agenda.
- HVS Men of Chorus from MHS will be visiting and singing for our student body at 11:00. Please review assembly expectations ahead of time. I also expect all staff to be engaged with students during the assembly.
- I will be attending a district AIM meeting at 2:30 at MHS.
Wednesday:
- PTA meeting at 9:30 in the cafeteria.
Thursday:
- Happy Valentine's Day!

Wednesday:
- Commitment to Collaboration / EA meeting with me at 8:30 in my office.
- CATS are off to visit Life Town!
- Office Coordinator interviews will take place in the conference room starting at 12:30. Sina and Joan will join me in the process.
Thursday:
- Ignite Passion Leadership Team Meeting in the STEM LAB at 8:15. (added session)
- Data Coach Meeting at the board office.

Notes:
- HVS Safety Week is upon us! Remember to keep conversations focused on the slide show we shared on our PD Day. The slide show can be found in the Alice folder on our team drive. Remain diligent about sticking to the verbiage in the slide show.
- February is African American History Month. It is a great time to integrate some of the amazing contributions African Americans have made in our history. It is also a great time to showcase our pride in diversity!! I would like to showcase any great examples you may be integrating. I hope you will consider Tweeting or Facebooking this month on this topic.
- The 5th Grade Concert is rescheduled for Monday, 2/11. Please schedule the dress rehearsal for the whole building at 2:30 in the cafeteria. The concert will be at 7:00.
