Message from the Principal
Schweitzer students and families,
We Are All In!
I'm so proud of our students, staff, and families that have worked hard all year long to help us have such a successful school year. As we enter into March, this is a great time to reflect on just how far we've come with the many challenges we've been faced with every day. Students have shown grit and resilience in cooperating together to juggle online and in-person learning and all the safety adjustments we've asked of them all year long. Thank you for supporting your children and encouraging them to come to school with a positive attitude each day. We're almost there...summer is just 6 weeks away!!
Please participate in our 'Duck Donuts' PTO fundraiser going on through the month of May. Vouchers for the Levittown Duck Donuts location are offered for a half or full dozen of warm, made-to-order donuts. I tested these out last week, and they are D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Vouchers must be purchased by Monday, May 31st.
The PTO is supporting our school in so many ways this year including purchasing Spirit Day T-Shirts for all students, treating teachers to breakfast and treats, purchasing gifts for the 4th grade graduating class, and continuing with Phase 2 of the Playground Project for additional equipment. Your community support is always appreciated!
Take care,
Dr. Amy Orlando
Principal
Second Grade Tulip Garden
As part of the science curriculum the second graders have been learning about living and non-living things as well as how parts of a plant work together to make the plant function. They have been taking care of the 2nd grade tulip garden and have also planted broccoli seeds in pots and spinach in the raised beds. Every other day the students take turns monitoring the gardens to watch for growth and watering as needed.
Albert Schweitzer Title I
Dear Schweitzer Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Title I Parent & Family Engagement Workshops held on April 14th, 21st, and 28th. It was a great opportunity for parents to learn about the best ways to support their child’s reading development. Parents also received activities and materials to use at home with their child.
Family involvement is key to student success. It needs to be enhanced so that a true partnership is formed for the betterment of the child. Thank you for your partnership!
Administrative Assistant's Day
Counselor's Corner

Safety Reminders for Parents
- Send your child to school with 1-2 clean masks every day. Wash them regularly to keep them clean and sanitized.
- Remind your child of the importance of maintaining social distancing and wearing masks.
- Model for your child appropriate expectations such as wearing a mask when picking up your child and washing/sanitizing your hands often.
- Be mindful of the family activities outside of school. No matter how diligent we are in school with our health and safety plan, everyone needs to do their best to maintain precautions outside of school hours.
- Complete the Health Check Symptom Screener each morning with your child(ren). It's important to take your child's temperature and pay attention to any symptoms to keep your child and everyone at school safe.
