Message from the Principal
Dear Central Road Families,
It was a pleasure for our staff to welcome our students back to school. We thank you for your patience while we navigated a few technology glitches with our virtual and concurrent students. District 15 is working hard to resolve the connectivity issues we experienced last week.
Beginning on Monday, January 11th our in-person students will return to participating in outdoor recess. We have made a few adjustments to our expectations during outdoor recess to accommodate the guidelines in place for Covid. Our zones are on the grass. Since there is snow on the ground, students will be allowed to play in the snow with only boots. We do encourage families to send snow pants to school. Our playground will also be reopening. Students will be able to use the playground equipment with winter gloves. Classes will rotate onto the equipment throughout the week, with one class on the equipment at a time. Safety continues to be a top priority in our schools. Students will sanitize their hands as they return to the building after recess.
District 15 has purchased Chromebook cases for our kindergarten through 3rd grade students. Our in-person classes will be sending home Chromebooks daily. Chargers should remain at home. Please have your child plug in their device every evening. Cases will be sent home with our virtual students during the next supply distribution.
Pictures retakes will take place on Friday, January 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If your child is in a virtual classroom, please email me to schedule an appointment for your child. If your child is in an in-person classroom, please contact your child’s teacher to inform them that you would like a retake.
The self-certification card format has changed. The new cards include a blue card for daily signatures, which is good for one month. The white card includes information about certification and can remain in the pocket of the lanyard. We appreciate your partnership
Let's make it a great week!
