Peek at the Week
October 4, 2019
From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Shiloh Families,
I would like to thank all of the Dads who joined us for the first All Pro Dad meeting for the 2019-2020 school year. It was so rewarding to see Dads with their sons and daughters engaged in discussions around volunteerism and the impact that this organization could have on the entire school community. I truly appreciate your time and commitment to the vision and mission of Shiloh Middle School. I would also like to thank all parents who participated in Parent Observation Day, which included a Literacy workshop for parents. This workshop was designed to give parents a glimpse of the Literacy Initiative that we have Shiloh to promote literacy across all content areas. The feedback you provided as a result of your visit helps us to celebrate areas you've identified as strengths for our school and identify areas where we can continue to grow. Your input, volunteerism and support are making a difference in our school and we appreciate you.
Gwinnett County Public Schools is a major supporter of United Way, as this organization serves many families that are served in GCPS. Students will have an opportunity to contribute to this cause by participating in various United Way "Spirit Activities" during the week of October 15. This sprit week will also serve as a means to get students excited about the success that they will have on their 1st 9 week Interim Assessments which will begin on October 18. A flyer, which will outline the events of the week, will be shared with students next week and will be included in the Peek of the Week that will be sent prior to returning from Fall Break.
Please continue to support PTSA through your membership(via our website) and support during the Cookie Dough Fundraiser.
Thank you for your continued support of Shiloh Middle School as we continue to Model Excellence Every Day!
