What is diamante poem

A diamante poem is a 7-line poem in the shape of a diamond. It does not have to rhyme but each line uses specific types of words like adjectives and –ing words. It can be about one topic or two opposite topics
Diamante poems are relatively new form of poetry. Many credit Iris Tiedt with its development in the late 1960s. Due to the short nature of the poems, the fact that they create a pleasing diamond shape, and the fact that they enhance knowledge of language through specific word choice
