KSU Instant Decision Day
DCHS hosted Kennesaw State University Instant Decision Day!
83 students applied to KSU and many were granted admission on the spot.
DCHS hosted a grand school beautification project all around our expansive campus.
130 students and parents joined us in this initiative to support our Classroom Impact Grant won by our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Teresa Wellmaker. Watch the quick video of our project by clicking here: https://youtu.be/eeKxu329WGM
We would like to extend a special note of thanks to Mrs. Wellmaker, Mr. Ernest Kelley (Science Teacher) Mrs. Jada Greene (Law & Justice teacher), Mrs. Nikki Mason (Senior Sponsor), Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan and Miranda Stanley (Science and Social Studies teachers) for their support of this event. The grill-master, Mr. Robert Bennett (IB Coordinator), roasted hotdogs and burgers for light fare and provided additional manpower to help load and unload our plants.
YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO OUR FIESTA
In honor of National Hispanic Night, the HoPe Organization, sponsored by Dr. Annette Ingram and curated by student leader Allison Martinez, has planned an evening of fun, food, and music. Each day, student representatives from HoPe announce notable figures and play a trivia game and award prizes during our lunch periods for the students who answer correctly.

DCHS Student Parking
NEED A PARKING PASS?
See Mrs. Flanagan in the main office.
Students can complete the Student Parking Application prior to visiting Mrs. Flanagan.
Bring your driver's license and a copy of your insurance and registration.
The cost is $50 and it is payable by cash, check or money order.
Students may only park in their assigned parking spaces. There are two campus parking locations for students: in front of the school across from the bus lane and at the lower level in the stadium lot. Students must display their parking decal on their vehicles. All other parking spaces are reserved for faculty and visitors.
Click here for the Student Parking Application and Vehicle Registration Form.
When students are present daily, their grades and reading skills often improve—even among those students who are struggling in school. Students who frequently attend school feel more connected to their community and develop strong social skills and friendships, which are important skills for life. Please help get your scholars to school by 8:20. The teachers and staff have planned engaging lessons to help your child acquire the skills and knowledge they need to excel.
High School hours are 8:20-3:10.
Daily punctual attendance is strongly encouraged.
