Countdown to College!!!

North Carolina Countdown to College is an annual campaign to support college access during the month of October. Activities during the month support high school Seniors in completing three important enrollment steps: Residency Determination Services, FAFSA, and college applications. Check out the timeline below for a list of this month's events:

1) Daily Nuggets. In an effort to minimize the overwhelming process of applying to college, the school counseling department will be sharing "nuggets" of information each day via email, social media, and Google classroom (Join Code: vhghwne)

2) Wednesday Lunch and Learns: Each Wednesday, school counselors will be available in the cafeteria during lunch blocks to assist students with completing college applications and to answer questions.

3) College Photo Booth: Students--want to be featured on our social media pages? Stop by the photo booth in the cafeteria on Wednesdays during lunch to show us where you have applied. Every photo taken enters you into a drawing to win free college swag such as pens, bumper stickers, pennants, and more!

4) Virtual Financial Aid Night. The College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) will be hosting a virtual financial aid night for South Point students and parents on Wednesday, October 20 at 6:30.
