Study Tips! How to study for the Final Exam!
- Who needs to take the Final Exam? Only Private School and Homeschool students are required to take the GaVS Final exam. Those students should have been notified via email. All other students will take the EOCT. If you are not sure if you need to take the final exam or EOCT, please contact me as soon as possible.
- When is the exam? The Final Exam will be available on Thursday, July 10th between 12:00am and 11:59pm. The final exam is timed to 90 minutes and must be completed in one sitting. There are no alternative testing dates. The exam will shut off at 11:59 whether you are finished or not.
- How much of my final grade does the final count for? The Final Exam counts as 20% of your final course average.
- How should I study? The first thing you need to do is review your previous tests and quizzes. Look over the questions that you missed and review the content to understand why those questions were answered incorrectly. You can also use the review guides in each module to help you review specific content. Finally, you can use USA TestPrep to help you by playing the games that are available or taking practice tests.
A final note: Technical difficulties is not an excuse for not completing the final exam, as is stated in GAVS policy. It is the student's responsibility to plan ahead for enough time, a reliable computer, and a secure internet connection before beginning.
