Weekly Wellness Update
AMS is focused on building the social/emotional skills of our students. This week the students participated in an assembly centered around our AMS SOAR goal of “Success”. Students were encouraged to work toward being successful in their daily lives and how that translates in their interactions with others.

Winter Sports
There is a sign-up table in the main lobby for Winter Sports. In order to participate, the athletic contract must be completed (even if you participated in a fall sport) and returned to the coach.
Cheer is open to grades 5-8, first practice is Nov. 1
Girls Basketball (A/B teams) is open to grades 6-8, first day of tryouts is Nov. 8
Boys Basketball (A/B teams) is open to grades 6-8, first day of tryouts is Nov. 8
Wrestling is open to grades 5-8, first day to practice is Nov. 15, parent mtg is 11/15 at 5:45pm

AMS Eagle Challenge
Ms. Urbanik's Launchpad played it forward by purchasing four playground balls for recess. | Child/Vordenberg completed the Pay It Forward Challenge with helium balloons and thank you cards for 20 teachers/nurses/ administration. | Lebel and Argeropoulos Launchpad paid it forward with buying a basketball and football for recess:) |
Ms. Nedelman's Launchpad purchased a sign for the lobby where they'll update a kindness quote every week! | Farina/Ahgren launchpad payed forward by purchasing things for the nurse’s office and fir the playground. | Proteau/Service Launchpad made signs for our cafeteria staff and bought them a cake so they are the ones fed, for once. :) |
