Noise pollution

What is it?

Noise pollution is unwanted noise that disturbs daily life and conversations and can have a negative effect on a persons health.

What effects does it have on health?

Noise pollution can have a lot of negative effects on a persons health and effects millions of people such problems are, Illness, high blood pressure, speech interference, hearing loss, and lost productivity.

Expert stance

80% of children were not born deaf and that noise pollution almost certainly had a role in making these children go deaf, according to Folashade Adebayo an expert from the Nigerian environmental protection agency.

What can you do?

You can protect yourself and others by wearing and being an advocate for wearing protective ear muffs/plugs in loud events such as a race. You can also be an advocate for the EPA regulations on noise pollution
