8:15 - 8:35: Circle Time/Movement
Morning Message
Monday: I can make up and perform fancy dances!
Tuesday: I create fantastic paintings and murals. **DR. SEUSS BIRTHDAY!!**
Wednesday: It is fun to sculpt and mold play dough.
Thursday: Pencils and markers are tools for writing.
Friday: Please make a book from the paper in the center.
**Write the morning message beginning with the day of the week and the date. Inform your child the importance of capitalizing the first letter in the day of the week and the month of the year. Also, the first letter of the sentence. Explain to them when writing we always leave a space in between each word.
**Have your child to tap their legs to count the words in the sentence (Props can be used as well). As you count the words, write the number under each word. Go over punctuation marks at the end of the sentence.
**Have your child to identify, circle/write the letters of the week.
**Have your child to produce rhyming words.
**Recognize/identify words that begin with the same beginning sound (Alliteration)
**Recognize/identify all sight words.
