Title of the Song: Early Morning By Alesana
Last night I forgot, how the sound of your voice whispered sweet
Goodbyes, your eyes, left to die
I'm alone to understand why
Why not one more night
One last kiss goodbye
My sweet love tonight
I hope the stars
Still spell out your name where you are
Kiss my closing eyes
Help me sleep,
Without you I'm so lost
Tonight I cry
Tell me why
I can't live without your warm embrace
Why not one more night
One last kiss goodbye
My sweet love tonight
I hope the stars
Still spell out your name where you are
I close my eyes and you are everything I see
Goodbye
Goodbye to you my love
I won't forget you
I'll see you soon
Goodbye my love
Goodbye to you my love
I won't forget you
Bye, Bye love
Analysis
Paraphrase: Starts out with a person waking up in the morning knowing that he lost her love yesterday. He cant stop thinking about his lost love and cant sleep without thinking about her. At the end of the song, He ends up committing suicide to see her.
Figurative Language:
1) "Last night I forgot, how the sound of your voice whispered sweet" this sets a good tone as well as imagery.
2) "I hope the stars Still spell out your name where you are" This is a good example of a personification because stars can't "spell".
Attitude: Depressed, Broken Down, Regret
Shift: the tone changes when the chorus begins. the voice of the singer start to change gradually before the chorus.
Title Reconsideration: I was mainly right but I dint think the person would commit suicide in the end. Although this song was pretty straight forward it strongly related to Romeo and Juliet.
Relating Romeo and Juliet
My Song Zen Cardona
i see your face in the moonlight of july
This is the end of I will say goodbye
Romeo I love you so much it hurts
Farewell my love I love you to death
No juliet I beg you dont go
I am a pebble and nothing else
I look at the mirror
But I only see myself
Chorus:
Romeo Juliet
I will suffer this regret
Romeo Juliet
our love is eternal
I will never forget
Alluding Romeo and Juliet
I wrote this song with both perspective of Romeo and Juliet. The first verse is Juliet talking to romeo before she dies and the second verse is Romeo talking to Juliet. The figurative language I used are I love you so much it hurts as well as I am a pebble and nothing else.
