To our VG Community,
I hope you had a very safe and wonderful Spring Break! With the sun setting later in the evening and the beautiful warm weather it was a much needed break; especially since we all have had so much transition since last March. I hope you all enjoy this beautiful Sunday prior to the beginning of the work/school week.
It is hard to believe that we are in the home stretch of the school year, only 37 more school days, and yet we still have a lot to cover prior to summer vacation. This time of year always reminders me of running a marathon...you are in mile 20 with only 6.2 miles to go, you have come so far, you cannot give up now...so let's make the best of these next 2 months.
This week we will continue in the fashion we left off prior to spring break:
- All students are REMOTE on Mondays
- Remote students continue Remote with their teachers
- Hybrid students continue Full Time in Person Tuesday-Friday
- Transitional Kindergarten students continue the way they were prior to Spring Break
- All Kindergarten students are now 8:00-11:30 Tuesday- Friday; please see below for parking lot logistics
Regardless if you are Remote or In Person; we are all Falcons and will continue to have opportunities for us all to connect together...like the Juergens Human Sundae and Camp VG...see below for our next VG FUN....Annual Auction-THE AMAZING RACE!!!
Your well rested and thankful principal,
:) Osi Juergens
REMINDER: TIME SENSITIVE
Virtual Academy 21/22 School Year
THE SRVUSD Virtual Academy will be available to families who wish to continue with a remote learning option for the 2021-22 school year.
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District believes that all of our students are best served in an in-person learning environment.
We recognize that due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, that some families may need or choose to continue to remain in a remote learning environment for the 2021 - 2022 school year.
The proposed Virtual Academy will allow these families with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade to continue learning in a remote setting for the entirety of the 2021 - 2022 school year.
April 12: 5:00-6:00pm - Info. Night
April 20: Enrollment Deadline
Commitments from families to the Academy will be required by April 20th, so that there will be time before summer break to plan for staffing.
A parent information night will be held on April 12 from 5:00–6:00 pm. Please send your questions in advance to ReopeningTogether@srvusd.net with the Subject Line: Information Night Question, so we are prepared to respond.
Students who are returning to in-person learning for fall 2021 do not need to do anything further to declare your intention. Only those students who apply to the Virtual Academy will be considered for remote learning. Everyone else will be in-person.

IMPORTANT PROCECURES
Arrival & Dismissal Instructions
Now that we are open FULL DAYS and Kindergarten will begin their day at 8:00 as well (no more staggered start unless you are in TK which remains the same) it is critical that EVERYONE drives cautiously and slowly
- Kindergarten families: I suggest you park in the neighborhood and walk your child to the gate as it is going to be crowded in our parking lot now that Kinder is not a staggered start time.
- You will not be able to park in the parking lot and leave your car to walk your student into class.
Parking lots can be dangerous and we need EVERYONE to work together to ensure everyone is safe!!!
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- We will now be using both the inside and outside lane...please remember to pull forward and be mindful of the MAIN crosswalk, by the big oak tree!!!!
- Please PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD when you arrive to drop off or pick up your child
- Inside lane- closest to the MPR- students should get out of the car on the MPR side ONLY
- Outside lane- Closest to Diablo Rd.- students should get out of the car on the outside lane ONLY and then walk to the Main Crosswalk
- Middle lane is for PASSING and Pulling out of the other two lanes ONLY
- DO NOT CUT INTO LANES ANYMORE as there are too many cars in the lot
- Students should already have their masks on when you pull into the lot
- Students should be ready to go when you pull into the lot
- ONLY USE THE MAIN (large) crosswalk. An adult (Juergens in AM and Glimme in PM) will be there to help your child cross the crosswalk
Thank you to everyone for your continued support! We want to ensure our students, families, and staff are safe at all times
